This audio is part of the conversation that sound and performance artist Óscar G. Villegas and I had over a few months in 2021, in preparation for a session we led within the Body, Territory and Conflict study group at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía.
The recording you can listen to here – recorded in Spanish, contains the ideas and reflections that have been emerging and crystallising from the interests and practices we have shared during this time. The text is a composition of ideas, reflections, quotes, stories and images from Doreen Massey, R. Murray Schafer, Óscar G. Villegas, Pedro Oliveira, Daniela Medina Poch, Kathryn Yusoff, myself and some other people we don’t remember.

The places that can be heard are Madrid, Collado Villalba, Lima, Peroblasco, Algiers and somewhere in the UK, some recorded recently and others at the beginning of the last century.*
